motion city soundtrack
ever since warped tour 2025 i've been getting back into Motion City Soundtrack. their new song is AMAZING, She Is Afraid.
i haven't kept up with them for a while, just listened to Commit This To Memory and My Dinosaur Life as i've ALWAYS done. but looking into where they've been, what they've gone through, especially the lead singer Justin Courtney Pierre.. man. i'm so glad to see them fully back and making great music.
their old stuff holds up SO insanely well. they are INSANELY underrated. i still listen to a lot of the shit i did back then, no real reason to stop listening to a band because you listened to them in the past. this whole "grow out of music" thing is just really.. fucking sad to see. oh i can't listen to pop punk/punk anymore because i'm an adult? yeah no fuck that.
anyway, MCS albums still hold up so well. not all music from back then does but there is just something about motion city that just hits. justin's transparent honesty with every song he writes is just so infatuating i can't skip over them.
i'm so excited to hear more from this upcoming record because She Is Afraid is a banger. glad they are still around and even better than ever!
